Born in Azcarate (Navarra) in 1954, Hasi has defined Joxe Mari Auzmendi as "his soul", who has been working for years on Hik Hasi magazine and this pedagogical project.

Last year he published the book under the title Pedagogoak, a reference pedagogue in Euskal Herria. He received the work and contributions of 25 pedagogues. In the Semanario ARGIA he was also an opinion, and one of the following excerpts: Education instead of new steps.

Hik Hasi was founded 25 years ago, in September 1995 the first issue of the journal was published – in 2006 he received the Merienda Argia Award – and behind him Auzmendi was dedicated as founder and member to promote another school and another educational model. In May 1996, the project started a new branch of training with workshops on reading and constructivist writing. Since its inception, Hik Hasi has had a novel Basque and pedagogy, and in those same heavens he was looking at Auzmendi.

"When the school community plays a leading role in schools, parents, students and everyone believes in their abilities, great results are obtained," Mikel García explained in a report on the occasion of the 20th anniversary celebration.

At first no one believed that an educational journal could be made in Euskera, but Joxe Mari really believed that yes, and the passion, the passion, the optimism and the illusion he conveyed from the beginning drew us to the project. And Hik Hasi's trajectory over all these years is the result of incredible work. It has been the body and soul of Hik Hasi.”

"Cohesion, teamwork, educational values, Euskera, have been the pillars on which the work of Joxe Mari has been based. Courage, strength, humor were their tools to work in popular construction. And I saw the educational landscape and national construction very clearly and visually," said Hik Hasi's team. And yet they add: "Joxe Mari doesn't just describe his work. His tenderness, optimism and humanity have been the hallmark of his personality, which he has conveyed to his colleagues and also to all those around him. He has managed to take care of people. Joxe Mari has been one of the protagonists of the day. Energetic, strong, optimistic and, above all, looking at what separates us and not what unites us. It's been a pleasure to share life with you, Joxe Mari."
