The Association of Actors and Editors of Spain has delivered the Max of the performing arts awards on Monday in Cádiz (Andalusia).
The work of Tanttaka, directed by Mireia Gabilondo, has received the award for the best production. Kepa Errasti and Telmo Irureta have written the story of a journalist with cerebral palsy and a vendor of sweets semi-drowned in contradictions. They show their sexual affective experiences on the stage, dyed with humor and pain. The protagonist is Irureta, along with Aitziber Garmendia.
The musician Pascal Gaigne has been awarded the award for the best musical composition of the company Kukai What now? for the work done in the dance show. The original idea is from Jon Maia, who led the show. It represents the ancient ritual of the universal soka dantza, which is still very present in the traditional culture of many countries and collectivities. Dance symbolizes social cohesion, respect and understanding among members of the same community.
Two other awards from Euskal Herria
The bilbain company Dramática Errante, founded by Ane Pikaza and Maria Goiricelaya, has been awarded by Yerma, the best adaptation, original by Federico García Lorca. In addition, in Supernormal, vitorian Iñaki Rikarte has been assigned to the best stage direction.
