Jon Foss, Nobel Prize in Literature 2023, writes in nynorski with 600,000 speakers

The huge play, written in Norwegian nynorsk, which covers various genres, has plays, novels, poetry, essays, children's books and translations. Today he is one of the most theatrical dramatists in the world, but he has been increasingly recognized for his prose.
