Seuxix Paucias Hernández was the real name of the leading guerrilla and in 2019 it launched into clantinity with guerrillas Iván Márquez and other guerrillas. The two guerrilla leaders participated in the negotiating process carried out in Cuba by the Government of Colombia and the FARC.

However, once in Colombia, the United States accused him of drug trafficking and was imprisoned by Colombian justice. In 2019 he was released provisionally and took advantage of that moment to return to the jungle.

“I will die in the fight”

In March 2020 ARGIA published an interview with Santrich by journalist Ibai Trebiño in which the future seems to be being announced: “I will die in the struggle, and not in the dirty war, plagued with bullets.” Among the causes of the return to the armed struggle was the failure of the Government of Colombia to comply with what was signed in Cuba and the death, with the approval of the Army, of hundreds of guerrillas demobilized by paramilitary groups. This was explained in the conversation about the reason for the return to weapons:

“The essential and most important: the right to life. It has not been guaranteed. The murders of social leaders or hundreds of people reintegrated into society are inscrutable in the last three years. We can also cite the changes that have taken place in what has been agreed in the field of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, where the criminal law of the enemy was imposed from the very beginning.”
