Donostia-San Sebastián welcomes the new “dynamic” of the Ecosocial Jump. They explain that the century has begun with “three major earthquakes” – the 2008 crisis, the pandemic and the war in Ukraine – and that the three are the result of the “clash” between our societies and the planet’s natural borders. But the beginning of the century has also meant a “new environmental awakening” in the opinion of Jauzi members. In this general context, various agents and people of the environmental movement organized the meetings of Portugalete: "We want to transfer the accumulated force to the street now," they explain.
Although it has not yet been completed and defined, they have summarized the main characteristics of the Ecosocial Jump: “Plural and effective, propositive, which will articulate in the four territories of Hego Euskal Herria against the neoliberal hegemony and in favor of life, opening the way to structural transformations. In fact, the old town full of tourists and the seas landed with fish have the same cause behind it: a market that constantly seeks to maximize its profits.”
The prospective work has been divided in two phases by Jauzi's representatives at Donostia's presentation press conference. From February 17 until the summer, the Your Luxury campaign, our bills, will take place. After the summer, they will promote a debate process in the field of environmentalism “to discuss with different people and agents the concrete form this tool should have”.

Energy and climate crisis
Jauzi will jointly address the energy and climate crisis with the dynamics of our bills, Luxury, which they have considered to be intimately related: “Poverty and waste are two sides of the same coin in a finite world.” In the coming months, different initiatives will be organised, starting on 17 February, International Day against Energy Poverty.
The campaign is going to demand a “just” ecological and social transition, and to achieve it four major ups and downs have spread: Ending energy poverty (“Iberdrola President, Ignacio Galán, has a profit of 13 million euros, but in our territory there are more than a hundred thousand people in energy poverty”); the publication of energy (“Like education and health, because they are not a basic business end, but fossil”).
Jauzi has called for the “time to fight” against the dystopian forecasts of the future, inviting citizens to participate in the construction of this “new green wave”, “because organizing together is the best possible action”.
