Israeli settlers destroy 75 homes and burn 100 vehicles
- Israel has killed a Palestinian and wounded at least 390 in Nablus (West Bank). At least 65 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since the beginning of the year.
The Israelis have burned 75 homes and 100 vehicles in Palestine, at least one person has been killed and 390 have been injured. Hundreds of armed Israeli settlers have attacked the occupied city of Nablus in the West Bank.
Following the attack, the Palestinians have faced the Israelis and there have been incidents between the two sides.
This is not the first attack they have recently made in Nablus. On 22 February, eleven Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded by the Israeli army in the city of northern Zirconia.
2022 has been one of the bloodiest years of this century in Palestine. Israeli forces killed at least 224 Palestinians, 171 of whom in the West Bank, according to data from the Palestinian Statistics Office PCBS.
In addition, Israel destroyed 1,058 buildings in Palestine last year. In 2023, Israel has killed 65 Palestinians since the beginning of the year.
New law: the death penalty for Palestinians facing the invasion
Israel wants to condemn the Palestinians who are condemned for "terrorism" to death. The coalition forces of the Israeli Government have given their prior approval to the measure promoted by the ultra-right Judu Poder party. According to the proposal, the law would apply to Palestinians who for "racist" or "odious" reasons perform "deadly actions" against Israelis.
Israel has not imposed an official death penalty for 60 years.
