When torture is publicly denounced, we realise how far the opinion society is putting into effect on this issue, the “system” itself. It uses a wide range of ministers, counsellors, judges and experts, all with the help of the organic media. And it has to be said that they achieve their goal.

There is and has not been torture in Spanish democracy – nothing to say in Euskal Herria. That's the result. The reason is axiomatic and frightening. “There are no torture because they cannot be proved.”

Despite the fact that in this cruel democracy there are many surprising things, both in Madrid and in Pamplona and Vitoria, there is still much to see.

As the nature of the law shows the form of the legislator, it is vague in view of the true nature of the state.

If the basis of democracy is human rights and dialogue, the State that could “disappear” for ten days is not the State of Humanity. What democracy or state, therefore, in the name of the defence of the citizens of the offensive of terrorism, does not join the tortured prisoners and their suffering? Why defend ourselves, a democracy that does not defend us?

In prison, it is the solidarity of strangers that slowly heals broken bones and flattened meats. But on the other hand, it is this cynicism that always manifests itself transparent, fair and “peaceful”, which causes the crying of disabilities on the cold nights of the prisoner. A bitter source of rage and despair. He who destroys the soul. And finally, violence as a generator. Yes, sir, inspiring violence.

Life in jail is long. Those who have suffered torture, in the end, rather than their torturer, will come to hate those who, although they should help in their disability, despise them. “The Democrats of Always” and the democracy of the Democrats of Always.

Democracy of political parties and conventions. The democracy of the Electoral and Legal Assembly. Democrats who have been corrupting democracy for so many years with total impunity at the height of power. At the expense of those who were subjected to torture yesterday, those who today, shouting, have managed to make it appear in images of martyrs. Those who ask him for evidence of his torture, after having prevented them, that there be evidence.
