The Municipal Police and the Ertzaintza have sought since Saturday and, finally, after staying for 72 hours, the Foral Police of Navarre and the Local Police of Burlada and Pamplona/Iruña have arrested on Tuesday in a premises in Burlada (District of Pamplona).
The operation organized by the Ertzaintza last weekend in Vitoria-Gasteiz has been coordinated between the Autonomous Police of both Communities, after the aggressor managed to escape the weekend and allegedly seek refuge in several Navarros family members. The detainee is in the premises of the Pamplona Municipal Police while deciding whether he will be brought to justice or transferred to Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Machista aggression
The man stabbed a neighbor from the Salburua neighborhood on Saturday, who had threatened a gun to have sex with his partner. The aggression occurred in the presence of the young daughter of the woman assaulted in a serious condition. Several Municipal Police and Ertzaintza patrols then entered a building on the Iliad Route, where the aggressor was supposedly present. The 40-year-old victim was in a "severe" state and had at least one stab in her chest, so she was taken to Txagorritxu hospital. Fortunately, it is out of harm's way.
The 58-year-old aggressor, who has been fleeing since Saturday, had a record of his partner’s murder in 2002, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison, but was in third grade. At first, the Municipal Police and the Ertzaintza believed that they had entrenched themselves in their home. However, since the device was not located, it extended to the whole of Vitoria-Gasteiz, and so far it has been searching for the Municipal Police.
According to police sources, the man stabbed him after threatening him with the weapon to have sex, and the woman assaulted him by refusing, on the chest, on the stomach and in other parts of the body. The victim and the aggressor reside in the same building where the aggression occurred, although they do not appear to have a relationship that goes beyond the condition of neighbors.
