While Rodolfo Martín Villa presents telematically to Argentine Judge María Servini for crimes against humanity, historical memory organizations have organized a mobilization in the Basque Country.
This Thursday, at 12:00 a.m., a repulsive rally was called before the courts in Pamplona, headed by the Sanfermines Association of 78. In addition, they will demand "stop impunity" against Francoist crimes that have not been investigated. There will also be concentrations outside Euskal Herria, as well as in Madrid and Asturias.
The State Coordinator for the Defense of Argentine Complaint, CeAQUA, has stated that the document supporting Martín Villa published by former union leaders and members of the Spanish Government is an attempt to condition the trial. They have described as "inadmissible" the attempt by the Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office to "bring political pressure" against Judge Servini. It is a "very serious interference" that several Spanish forces frame in the general context of the attitude taken in recent years to obstruct the process. In any case, they have stated that these statements do not imply the disappearance of any of the facts which the investigation analyses.
