The Small Revolutions Camp (ITA) was presented on Thursday in Zubieta with children's toys, vegetables brought from the farmhouse and books on disobedience at the table. The initiative, aimed at "citizens and popular movements dreaming of another Basque Country", will take place from Friday 21 September to Sunday in Vitoria-Gasteiz. "In it we will build complicities, reflect and conspire together, imagine what we can do and put into practice the alternatives we can make. However, above all, citizens of all ages want to enjoy in company," they said.
They have announced that they will put life in the center of the city and that they want space to be anti-patriarchal, anti-capitalist, community, auterized, self-critical, wrestling and joyful.
Along with the press conference they have released this spot to announce the weekend.
A comprehensive programme of eight sessions has been prepared for the weekend, reflecting on "those issues that affect us all and that we do not have many opportunities to work quietly".
The first of the camp, on Friday at 19:00, will take place the round table “A new us in the midst of the earthquake?” with the Charter of Social Rights of Euskal Herria, the World March of Women, the Commons and the Citizen Welcoming Network.
On Saturday, both in the morning and in the afternoon, several simultaneous sessions will be held, in which the camp participants will have to choose where to go.
At 10:00 hours will be the program "Relations, intentions and facts between popular movements and institutions", with Larraitz Ugarte de EH Bildu, Laura Pérez de Orain Bai, Marvels Gaztetxea de Iruñea and Josebe Iturrioz de Medeak.
At the same time, the program "Male Assaults in Our Spaces" will begin, which will be broadcast on ETB-2. They shall be divided into two subsections, both non-mixed.
