The forces of the Alliance of the Three Brothers have already taken over the capital of the Kokang Autonomous Region in Myanmar, Laukkaing. On Thursday or, the last forces of the Military Board appeared to escape the city, and the entire region (the surface of Gipuzkoa and the population of San Sebastian) has been subjected to the Co-Angian rebels of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army. Since the Junta with Naypyidawa authority since the coup d'état of 2021 has not been well received abroad, it is evident that in the Western media the evolution of the conflict is noted with satisfaction, especially since the rebel alliance began Operation 1027 at the end of October. Successful, so far.

However, this optimism has reminded those who know the subject a little more deeply, that these males were until recently the most typical model of the “narcodrilla”. And serious analyses have also been published that sharpen the joy that some may have in the face of the facts.

The fact is that the armed conflict in Myanmar is far more than an internal problem. And at least very differently, they directly touch the two Asian superpowers, India and China. The second, in the full case of Kokang.

Because Kokang is not an exclusively adjacent territory for China. In short, it is part of China in Myanmar. History, as usual, goes back to time immemorial, but the vast majority of Quangeses are feet that speak Chinese. Moreover, tens of thousands of migrants have come from Yunnan and other regions of China to the calm of illegal business (drug trafficking, gambling, prostitution,…) that have grown there in recent years. Apparently, in the case of cybercrime, the problem has been very damaging to China. To put an end to these activities, the Beijing authorities have come directly to the official Board and to the rebels who sometimes have real authority in their power, and they seem to have achieved something in this field. But if they get worse, they have shown that they have resources with incredible military maneuvers in that border section. Moving the old head to the present: trying to get the best preparing for the worst.

And that is that the rebellion in Myanmar, in general, damages something that is China's best interest: Hangrui motorway. Possibly the most expensive infrastructure work in the contemporary world. It is made in the 3,000 kilometers it has in China. But from the border with Myanmar, the conflict also prevents the beginning of works to the Gulf of Bengal by Mandalay. And without that highway, the Kyaukphyu port project would be quite useless.

This clarifies issues that otherwise seem rather cryptic.
