One of the pillars of the social and transformative economy, the participation of workers in the work centers and projects, aware that it is a land that must be fed permanently, the organizers of Beterri Saretuz have activated for the second year the programme to create a participative ecosystem.
This network was launched last year with the collaboration of several companies and agents from the region of Beterri-Buruntza, the Department of Economic Promotion, Tourism and Rural Environment of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the municipalities of Beterri-Buruntza. Several days were held, experiences were known, they met each other and lines were established throughout the journey. The conclusions were presented at Hernani in October 2020: guidelines or keys to promoting participation (pdf).
Training, putting the person at the center, promotion of solidarity values, economic and fiscal aspects… There are many topics that this work instrument deals with, always from a transformative perspective and from a perspective of involvement with the territory.
In October, in addition to presenting the guide, the needs of companies in the short and long term were identified. Precisely, one of the objectives of this year’s programme is to try to meet some of these needs, but also to strengthen the network through mutual knowledge and inter-cooperation.
Project open to local entities and services
They have organised a six-month programme. On the one hand, they will know different experiences and share methodologies around the care, the diversity of origin or the collective character of the region and beyond. To this end, they will be assisted by the BDS Koop processing plant, the Biziola del Goierri network and the Maitelan cooperative, among others.
Days will also be held to continue in Sare, as this is an open project, as companies and social partners have the opportunity to participate in Beterri Saretuz. The aim of this year’s programme is to attract local entities, employment policies, social services and more Community enterprise projects, to contact each other, to further structure the ecosystem and "in particular" these actors.
The first meeting will be held on 11 February in Usurbil, with the aim of deepening inter-cooperation and formalising the networks. They work to ensure the necessary space and security measures for COVID-19.
