What does this agenda have different from the others?
What differs from any other agenda is that it shows us the two cycles of the moon for the jobs we have to do weekly with plants, and it also tells us what we have to do every month in fruit trees, in the garden or in the forest. One of the novelties of this year is that every month it shows the lunar cycle scheme. On the other hand, each year we dedicate the agenda to a topic and this year seasonal vegetables are the protagonists: if we want a quality food we must know what is fresh and seasonal. Every month we are told on the agenda what these vegetables are.
In which section has the Book of Agenda been divided?
The location begins with the influence of the Moon and the two cycles of the Moon all year round. The climate map of the Basque Country is also proposed, since according to the location of each vegetable garden the works are different. On the agenda each one has the opportunity to point out their works, and there are also tips to facilitate them: what are the ancillary plants, how to attract pollinators, how to make the fertilizers and rotations, with whom the vegetables get along, the natural treatments… In addition, all this information is accompanied by beautiful illustrations of Antton Olariaga.
For whom is it especially useful?
Especially for those who want to learn working with plants or do not have vegetable gardens or plants but want to know more about them: to eat seasonal food, to learn phrases related to plants and vegetable garden… It is also useful for this. On the other hand, it is true that it can also be used simply to point out everyday things as a common agenda.
Should we pay a little more attention to the moon in our day-to-day lives?
Everyone will have to see that! It is clear that the moon influences plants. Of course, the moon does not perform miracles, all the previous works have to be done well: to have a good land, to live, well prepared, to use varieties of native plants… when everything is fine, the moon will help!
