Ikastolas will celebrate four parties in autumn and Nafarroa Oinez will not be held
- The Federation of Ikastolas has specified the dates: September 20 in Senpere, October 4 in Amasa-Villabona, Araba Euskaraz in Amurrio and October 18 in Elorrio. On the contrary, the Ikastola de Estella and the Nafarroa Oinez Foundation have ensured that the conditions for the celebration this year are not met.
They have decided to do four out of five parties and are already preparing. However, the Federation of Ikastolas has warned that as the dates approach, it will be necessary to see if the conditions for celebrating the festivities are met. Despite the fact that agglomerations are not possible at present, the organisers expect that in the autumn we will be in a different situation and that is why they have decided to start preparing the parties. Therefore, as the dates approach, they will decide whether progress can be made or whether it should be reversed.
They have recalled that the festivities, besides being moments of enjoyment, have several objectives: to strengthen the relations between the ikastolas, to offer a place to the Basque culture, to put the speaker to the Basque and to obtain funding.
The organizers have made it clear that the 2020 festivities will not be the same as before, as the anomalous situation will bring them, and they have stated that the parties are being reinvented. In the autumn, all the necessary preventive measures will be put in place to ensure the health of the people concerned.
