It is 49, counting on Igor González, the people killed in Euskal Herria by the policies applied by the Spanish and French States to the Basque political prisoners. - Enough! In Euskal Herria we are fighting for peace and freedom. This policy of revenge must be put to an end," they have denounced.
This Saturday night they called on the government delegation in Bilbao to "speak out aloud to the Spanish State that they must put an end to the exceptional penitentiary policy".
They have not given more details on the initiative.
Basque political prisoner Igor González Sola died last Friday in Martutene prison in Donostia-San Sebastián. He was found dead in his cell. He was 47 years old and served three-quarters of the sentence in March of this year.
He was arrested in 2005 on charges of a counterfeit of documents and a stockpile of weapons. The man reported having suffered torture during the incommunicado detention by the Foral Police.
They've also made this video to spread the call.
The prison policy has already killed 49 people. ENOUGH!
