The National Securities Market Commission announced on the same day that Iberdrola received a net profit of 4,803 million in 2023, 10.7% more than in the previous year, while the company’s president, Ignacio Sánchez Galán, opposed the burden of electricity and other taxes.
With the record figures obtained by Iberdrola, the President opposes the "large amount of taxes in Spain", with almost 40 different taxes, and confirms that maintaining the government's extraordinary burden on energy gains makes no sense.
The gross investments of the Bilbao based energy company reached last year’s record: EUR 11,382 million. Increase of 6.0% compared to 2022.
