I-Ener will launch four solar plate projects in summer
- I-Ener was born in 2014 and has since launched 17 photovoltaic plants in the Basque Country. In Azkain and Baiona, the new facilities are about to start and four other solar panels will be installed this summer: Sara, Donoztiri, Garazi and Ortzaiz.
According to I-Ener, they develop the solar panels project with local agents and are based on the model:
The roof where the solar panels will be installed is left at the disposal of I-Ener for a period of 25 years. The investment is carried out by I-Ener in its entirety and I-Ener is also responsible for the maintenance of the plant. I-Ener pays a symbolic rent of one euro per year per roof.
These projects allow local renewable energy production.
To present the four projects that will be launched in summer, four public sessions have been organized in which I-Ener has invited all citizens and professionals of the territory to "discover us, putting in place renewable energies and local development to promote a new call for citizen investment".
