Mortgages and land prices have increased in Hego Euskal Herria in the last year. According to data from the Statistical Center of Notarial Information, mortgages signed in March in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa were the third most expensive in the Spanish State. Navarre is the fifth. Mortgages cost EUR 258,327 and EUR 187,028, respectively. The state average is EUR 160,000.

Reduction of the purchase of housing in Hego Euskal Herria. In Navarre, the sale of homes decreased by 35% and in Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa by 22.4%. Compared to other territories of the Spanish State, mortgages have become more expensive and purchases have decreased more.

The price of land has been rising since 2015 and the trend has continued in the past year. In Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa the square meter costs an average of 2,513 euros, reaching almost the prices before the 2008 crisis. In Navarra, the square meter costs 1,440 euros. They are the third and seventh most expensive territory in Spain.
