Killings, arms escalation and consequences
On 26 December, during an air strike, the Israeli Army killed five Palestinian journalists trying to reach the city. They killed 130 Palestinian journalists. This news has reminded me of a couple of things, the first, the persecution of true journalists in any part of the world, for example, Syria, Ukraine, or the part occupied by Morocco in Western Sahara, etc. And the second is that these violent killings by the Israeli Army will go unpunished, because behind Israel are the United States. However, the International Criminal Court (ICTY) has concluded that B. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered his arrest after being arrested by the police. In addition, now, and although there is no wish to investigate, we know all the signs, such as the increase in radioactivity, the images of the bomb or the seismic effect that reached Turkey, that the Israeli bombardment against Syria was carried out with a tactical nuclear bomb (B61).
On the other hand, the change of President of the United States is not going to affect the Palestinian question, as Biden and Trump have the same view on the issue. Even though Trump wants to end the war, it is clear that this is also at the service of the arms companies. And that is that, in addition to supplying weapons to the Ukrainian Army, he has asked the Western countries of Europe to increase the arms budget, as the return of Trump has forced the Spanish State to spend 10.5 billion more. In the end, the perception that we have is that while we are led to a war that we do not want and increases the budgets of the arms industry, the budget for pensions, health, dependency, education, etc. is weakened. For all these reasons, I believe that the time has come to stand up and to demand genuinely democratic structures of power, because every four years the choice of subjects who do not respond to the interests of the citizens goes against the people.
