He was an employee of the company Cerio Ensilados. According to the list of workers killed in the accident updated by the LAB union, the accident occurred after the appearance of a tree. He's the eighth carrier who died this year.

The ELA trade union has denounced the death of “more and more carriers”, precisely because of the last death, and has denounced that it is due to the precariousness prevailing in the sector. The union ensures that employees have “precarious” working conditions and that many carriers are self-employed, who are obliged to carry out “endless hours” in order to obtain a “living wage”. It has also denounced the “bad” state of the road network and the lack of maintenance of vehicles, which means an increase in stirrups. Thus, occupational accidents are “camouflaged as traffic accidents”, according to ELA

ELA urges the Government of Navarre to triple and increase to 45 the number of workers in the Labour Inspectorate “to comply with European guidelines and to adequately control systematic breaches in companies and workplaces in Navarre”.
