"For years, when students have been questioning the content we receive, we decided to realize the content for our interests, and fundamentally the university as a whole. Because it's clear to us that the content we internalize through the current university is not built for the needs of those of us who are exploited and oppressed. Not at least to the extent that the university is an institution that plays the role of revitalizing capitalism. That is why, and therefore, the Public University project, is a space and a knowledge project for the liberation of those of us condemned to a lifestyle based on exploitation and oppression. It is not a project or any challenge that we have in view, and it will require us to work for years to achieve a stable, structured and strong university project that is faithful to that objective and that direction. Following this video, the University of the Basque Country is organized in two dimensions: On the one hand, the dimension that responds to each campus of Hego Euskal Herria, and on the other, the dimension of Euskal Herria.

With regard to the Local Public University, the Public Universities of the five campuses of Hego Euskal Herria constitute a showcase and meeting point of the continuous work of the critical groups that have been creating and consolidating over the years. That is, they are spaces to critically analyze the concrete disciplines of each campus and faculty and reflect on each one of them. They are organized according to the reality, discipline and structure of each campus and serve to group, interrelate and share reflections, both individually and collectively. Because they also serve to interact and strengthen the different dynamics and struggles of the student movement.

In this sense and in relation to the second dimension mentioned, we have the National Public University. In fact, this year for the third time in a row, we will hold the Public University organized at the level of the Basque Country, which for the first time will be held at the University of Leioa on 26 and 27 February. A fortress at the local level that seeks to increase our capacities and put on the table some issues that we face nationally. Among other theoretical issues around the structuring of gender oppression, the articulation of the defense of working women in education, the revisionist political line, political communication, the possibility of reflecting on the different challenges of the student movement, the international view, the political conjuncture and above all, the challenge of raising the debates and reflections that are at the heart of the political landscape of Euskal Herria.

As has been mentioned, the two day confluence of the different forces distributed throughout the Basque Country in Leioa strengthens the Public University project, increasing its capacities and potentialities. Contributing experiences and different realities, feeding on different points of view and relating different collectives, among others. Therefore, we would like to invite and encourage students who have participated in the Public University, in general, to be part of the National Public University, of any of the layers of the working class that are not students, who want to know and strengthen the project of the Public University, or simply those who like the program.
