The appeal of the associations of the eight districts calls for the suspension of the agreement of the City of Pamplona of 5 November and the decree of 6. The judge will meet the City Hall and the neighbourhood associations next week and will decide on the procedure to be followed in the proceedings. The court has given the parties a period of 20 days to submit the complete file. In this way, Nabarra Suma should make public all the information on the case, something that the opposition has once again denounced, because until now the NS has not fully disseminated.
The City Council has already taken over the services provided by the associations and the Social Services Council, María Caballero (Navarra Suma), announced that the new service would be launched with the new year. The aim is to channel the service through the Coworkids programme.
In view of the situation, however, there is doubt that this is possible. The City Council summoned the people on the list to carry out the service, but they refused to participate in the new service. Now the City Hall has to prepare a new list and that is why it has been questioned that the intention of the NS is possible. The City Hall wants to form a group of fourteen people to carry out this service, all of them workers of the City Hall.
Last week, EH Bildu denounced "a plot to impose political control on the Child Care Service" and announced that it would file four appeals against this action. Two of them are contrary to two contracts made by the City Council to carry out the Coworkids programme. One of them is against Celia Pinedo's designation as responsible for this program, and the other against the call, in which the pedagogue Lourdes Aróstegui was placed first.
