In the centres of Child, Primary and Secondary Special Education for the year 2024-2025, we will vote on the change of school day. Of the 170 public network centres, 159 have obtained approval from the Department of Education to initiate the procedure for changing school hours. Of these, 152 propose continuous working hours, 4 flexibility and 3 days.
So far, experimentally, some centres have maintained a continuous and flexible journey. Thus, for the next course, the default class will be the starting day. However, there will be three options of choice: continuous, flexible or departure.
The addresses of the centres which have been approved by the Department of Education will now extend the sequence of consultations. Once consultations have been completed, the centres should send the information to the Department of Education by 1 March. And, where appropriate, the school day chosen at the vote will be set during the course 2024-2025. Regardless of the result of the votes, centres that have changed the day may not change the school day until the 2027-2028.
