In the presentation of the report made today (Friday 22 January) in Pamplona, the HE Gurasoak platform has presented a new proposal. In the meetings they have held with the parties, they have been graphically explained what the situation is and what is called the "desert of the Basque Country of Pamplona".

Faced with the "lack of will and agreement" in the meetings, they saw that "something had to be done" and decided to present an alternative. "The proposal is a minimum proposal. The minimum proposal says: Guarantee the model of linguistic immersion in Basque in each area of Pamplona. "If it's not in our neighborhood next door, we can't be denied the opportunity. In addition, it defends the immersion model as the only pedagogical tool for the learning of Euskera, in view of the dissolution of Euskera produced in the mixed model. Its objective is to disseminate a model of linguistic immersion that sufficiently guarantees the linguistic rights of children in Navarra. However, they have insisted that the proposal they present is only a minimal compromise to unblock the current situation.
