Red pride promotion lever of the Basque Country
At the end of the Saturday Cup in Seville, we came to discuss two basic elements of our lives: Athletic and Euskera. Someone might think that the Basque country does not need elite football to merge with the circus around it or that football and politics should not be confused. We, however, are proud of childhood and see the distances as two concepts compatible with many similarities.
All Athletic fans are proud of our teams, whether they’re titles won by female or male teams, years in first division, quarry or seasons like this. Similarly, we are proud of our people, of our culture and of our language, and we believe that it is a good time to extend that pride to the four winds. Confessing part of a community isn't always, but it's often that: pride.
We know that football, Bilbao or the main media are not among the areas where Euskera is healthier, and that is precisely why we see the need to influence them. The Basque country must also cover these areas, in a few years' time, including thousands of Basques in San Mamés, so that the Basque language is the language that is most heard.
In recent months, as numerous events have shown, such as Korrika, the Basque National Team Party or the Return to the Basque Country, we must seize these opportunities to take the streets and drive a new wave in favour of the Basque Country and the Basque Country. Also to bring to light the results approaches in the coming years.
We call on sports groups to develop and implement Basque plans to increase the presence of Euskera. For sports and athletic enthusiasts, use Euskera anywhere and anytime
Overall, we are proud of the values of Athletic and, as Korrika has shown, of this people. We see the need to show the pride of the Basques – in the good sense of the word – to revitalise our community, to assert our rights, to change policies that have been paralysed for some time and to demand and implement effective measures in this globalised society.
Therefore, we invite you to participate in the Arraigo Week of Euskaldunon Euskaraz that has been organized in the Basque Country. From 22 to 28 April, we encourage you to expand your demands in favor of the Basque Country, to organize different activities and to share those carried out with EHE, Euskaltzale. In order for the daily activity to take place in Basque throughout the Basque Country, we invite you to use this week and other projects carried out in favor of the Basque country as a starting point. We also call on sports groups to develop Euskera plans and to set them in motion in your groups, so that the presence of the Euskera may be increased in internal and external communications. And to sports and athletic enthusiasts, to use Euskera anywhere and anytime.
In order for us to enjoy football, and sport in general, in Basque, get started, amateur! Arrogad, Euskaltzale!
