Reception of the two expelled from the Sahara at the Bilbao bus station
- The Sahrawi community has warmly welcomed the entrepreneurs Irati Tobar and Patricia Ibáñez at the Bilbao bus station. On 1 January, when they were in the Moroccan city of Aaiun, Moroccan police expelled them from the area.
Hassana Aalia, a Sahrawi refugee residing in Euskal Herria, reported the facts.
In statements to the members of the Ecuadorian House in Bilbao, they have denounced that they have come as tourists to Western Sahara and that, despite this, the police have continued without rest, without holding political meetings with anyone and yet have been expelled. In addition, they have denounced the violation of rights suffered by residents of the country by the Moroccan State.
