The prosecutor employs thirteen Basque prisoners at the third grade
- Last August, the Public Prosecutor ' s Office resorted to the third grade taught by the Department of Justice of the Basque Government to four Basque political prisoners.
On 8 August, the Prosecutor ' s Office appealed against the Department of Justice ' s third grade to Zigor Orber in Zaballa on 29 July. On 24 August, on the contrary, he addressed the appeals to Lierni Armendariz, in the prison of the Martutene Prosecutor ' s Office, and to Aitor Herrera, in the prison of Basauri. Armendariz and Herrera also received the third grade by the Department of Justice on 29 July. The Prosecutor ' s Office also appealed on 24 August against the third grade of Juan Carlos Subijana in Basauri, and the Department of Justice granted him the third grade ten days in advance.
Currently, the third grade for thirteen Basque political prisoners has been appealed by the Public Prosecutor ' s Office, and the Prison Guard of the Spanish National Court is waiting for its revocation or ratification to be agreed. As in the cases of Iñaki Bilbao and Gorka Martínez (formerly Unai Fano, Iñigo Gutierrez and Jon Crespo), if they accept the appeal, these prisoners in semi-freedom (leave of day and spend the night in jail) must return to 2nd grade and spend 24 hours of the day in prison.
