A man who raped his partner in San Sebastian and tried to smoke twice is sentenced to fifteen years in prison.

A 51-year-old man attacked his partner on June 28, 2019 in the Gipuzkoan village of Donostia-San Sebastián. As the woman told the Audience of Gipuzkoa, her sentimental partner also entered the house when she was in bed. The man raped her and beat her when the woman proposed to have sex, but she refused.
A second aggression also took place on 23 October that year. The man threatened the woman with a knife and forced her to eat a whole bowl of meat, while insulting her and threatening her with a knife.
Hours later, the man, with a bottle of whiskey in his hand, threw the woman's pocket to the ground "so he wouldn't ask for help." The woman, who had defended herself with a duvet and pillows, set them on fire to, according to the aggressor's report, "burn her whole". The woman managed to zafe from the water and extinguish the fire, but within a few hours the aggressor tried again to set fire to the sinister dwelling. He tried to do it, helped by the whiskey, to "burn them faster" and "kill them both on site." The woman managed to escape.

Today, the resolution on the trial of the aggressor has been published, who has been sentenced to fifteen years and three months in prison. The defendant will not be able to approach the woman in nineteen years and will have to compensate her with 30,000 euros for the moral damage suffered. On the other hand, he will be expelled from the Spanish State by serving three quarters of the sentence.
