The City of Getxo and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia plan to demolish the old building of the Central Valleys and the Gaztetxe to build an Intergenerational Center on the site. Azpiegiturak started on Monday the demolition works of the building located in the Itzubaltzeta district, and aware of this, several citizens opposed to the demolition of the building met in protest from Tuesday morning at the front of the building, in order to prevent workers from accessing the building. The atmosphere tended when the Ertzaintza began to dismantle the wall created by the people at the doors of the building, and when the protesters began to hit the surrounding verges, the Ertzaintza was thrown at them. The aggression forced some ten people to receive health care according to Hiruka, as well as Hodei Torres, a media worker.
On Wednesday morning, around 07:15 hours, a group of citizens has reformed the barrier in front of the Lope de Vega street building. By the time they approached, there were three vans from the mobile brigade of the Ertzaintza, but they managed to get close to the doors of the building and complete the fence. As on Tuesday, Hiruka journalists have been reporting on this and have announced that it would be just over 08:00 when the Ertzaintza has discarded the fence. In this intervention the police have injured a person in the head and have been fainting for a long time. "Although he initially refused to take care of the health staff, he has finally called an ambulance of Osakidetza," can be read in Hirukan. They have had to transfer the victim to a health centre, but not to the police without hindrance, according to the neighbours.

We wish to denounce that the Ertzaintza has beaten and hampered the action of the photographer of the communication group HIRUKA, the media of Uribe Kosta on Tuesday afternoon, following the police wound of Hodei Torres. In the writing that is made public with this headline, it is reported that he had gone to pick up what was happening Torres, photographer of the communication team, in the immediate vicinity of the Lope de Vega building, informing the police of his status as a journalist. “I’ve gone to them and identified myself before them, as I always do in those cases,” the photographer explains. However, the Ertzaintza made it difficult to act with violence.
ARGIA spoke to the journalist to know for the first time what happened. Torres explains: "A person was arrested and when the police took the person detained by car, people tried to block the way. That's when the riots start and the police start hitting people. Among them was the police chief, who beat me. Nothing else beating turned around and gave the semi-leakage, with the intention that I would not identify, I think. I knew I was a police chief, because I was there all morning, at first with my face and then with my face covered. He chased me until he turned around." Torres asked him to identify, but the agent ignored him. The photographer finally obtained the agent's identification number by photographing his vest.
He's got a bruise on his arm for a bump blow received and his cell phone damaged. On Tuesday, he handed over the part of the injury to the doctor and announced his intention to report on Wednesday. Hirukako's team has denounced the "abuse of the Ertzaintza" for having attacked Torres "although from the beginning he has been identified as a journalist and at all times he has not prevented police action".
In the face of the events of the morning, and in order to claim support for the buildings of Calle Lope de Vega 12, a demonstration was held at 19:00 hours. In this mobilization, the Ertzaintza rebelled against the protesters.
Yesterday at 19:00, citizenship transformed the concentration against the demolition into a demonstration, in which the Ertzaintza rebelled against them again.
