SARE has underlined that in recent weeks several European institutions have advised governments and states to prevent the release of prisoners of different characteristics and to remain in the confinement of their homes. The Spanish Government has denounced that neither the UN nor the European Council has heeded its departure from the Council of Europe, nor the UN. They have also told him that they have not looked at the United Kingdom or Catalonia, even though in those countries it has been decided to release many prisoners.

At present, Sare argues that prisoners are completely isolated from the world, without regular or specific communication. However, they consider that Basque prisoners are worse, as they do not have the possibility to communicate with their relatives through video calls, thus increasing concern about the health status of inmates and outsiders.
