See Esku presents the dynamic "A Free People", noting that the objective is to put the question of sovereignty at the centre of the political agenda. “We will move the people of illusion,” spokesman Josu Etxaburu said. He explained the need for synergies: "We believe this moment is appropriate, as there are movements in our environment".
The hearing says that there is a need to move forward because "there are great challenges as a people" and that new resources are needed to provide adequate responses. On the other hand, they note that "reflections and debates on the future of the structuring of the Basque Autonomous Community, the Foral Community of Navarra and the College of the Northern Basque Country are in the process of opening or expanding". And also the implementation of new forms of cooperation between the political actors.
Irantzu Perello, a member of Šesku, explained that being a free people is not a dream, nor a request: “Being a free people is a will that is built and carried out every day. Step by step, deciding on an objective that is achieved.”
On 13 April it is ten years since for the first time a Basque people, Etxarri Aranatz, organised a popular consultation on political status. It was the first movement of popular polls, the first stone, and from that point on Seguro Esku pushed other popular polls in Euskal Herria. Votes were held and 218,000 people participated in 208 locations. Ten years later, Šeskuk Etxarri Aranatz organized a meeting of recognition for all the peoples who made the popular consultation, “placing the need to decide our future with the vote to the limit”.
The outlines of the dynamic A Free People have been presented in Kafe Antzokia. In addition to the initiatives organised by Qatar Esku, other actors have mentioned various initiatives organised to invite them to participate.
