The human chain will unite "health, the environment and justice", "symbolic" points of the capital linked to this claim. "The Basque Government will join the Delegation of Gipuzkoa in Andía Street and Plaza Teresa de Calcuta de Donostia-San Sebastián. The march will pass through the Palacio de la Diputación (Plaza de Gipuzkoa) and the relief centre (Bengoetxea Street), as reported by GuraSOS.
Through the human chain that goes through these spaces, "the mobilization wants to denounce the contempt of institutions for safety, health and the environment, and the four points symbolize this demand. It is also intended that the corresponding control of legality be carried out by the Justice".
To denounce the incinerator
The human chain will be carried out after the third fire recorded in the incinerator and denounced by GuraSOS, "with the request that it immediately submit to the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country to paralyse the incinerator".
"It will also serve to denounce GHK's unacceptable warning of legal action by citizens' complaints and incompatible with the free exercise of international environmental rights."
Call for innovative measures
In the poster attached to this news you have detailed information about the human chain and a note very to take into account: "The distances between those who do not live will be saved."
On the occasion of the health crisis we are experiencing, GuraSOS calls on the participants to cooperate in complying with the safety measures that the organization is going to implement. "The organization will make a special effort to avoid agglomerations and to do so the following measures have been taken, some of them innovative," GuraSOS announced in a statement.
On the one hand, GuraSOS announced that on this occasion there will be no closing events for the mobilisations it has already organised, "at least as usual", but that they will be offered by streaming. "To avoid crowds in the last edition, organizers will stream (live stream) the end of the event (final declaration and closing of the event), and participants will continue on their mobile phones instead of the chain in which they are. The link gurasos.org will be available on the web. The closing act will be at 12:15 hours."
Red kisses
Along with this, the red kisses will be distributed for mobilization, under the motto "simulating the logo of GuraSOS. This mask appears in the logo as a symbol of the risk of contamination." In the following photo you can see the presentation of GuraSOS on Wednesday in San Sebastian, with the reds of the kiss of the representative of the association.
Note referred to above: "Only cohabitation units can be together in the chain. The rest and the cohabitation units will be distanced 3 meters, thus forming a chain without contact".
GuraSOS has formed a comprehensive team to guide the entire organization. "There will be 20 volunteers who are responsible for organising the chain and giving the relevant instructions. However, media collaboration is called for to help disseminate these guidelines and help the people involved in the call to follow the organization's guidelines."
Pieces of chain by counties
To avoid agglomerations, the organization will divide the journey into four parts. Citizens from different regions may participate in each section. Each must be in the relevant section, 10 minutes before the start of mobilisation, at 11:50 hours:
Part 1.- Andia - Deputy: Urola Kosta Debabarrena
Section 2.- Diputacion-Okendo/Avda. de la Libertad 5 (Bankoa) Debagoiena-Goierri-Tolosaldea
Part 3.- Avenida de la Libertad, 5. Santa Catalina Bridge: Donostialdea
Section 4.- Plaza Urumea - Kalkuta: Oarsoline — Bidasoa-Buruntzaldea
