The third meeting of Basque psychologists was held in Eibar in November 2019. The meeting highlighted the need to create a network between those of us who have psychology and Basque as a Nordic language. It also seemed urgent to us to make visible and share the work of those who are doing Euskaldun psychology; in short, to influence. Fortunately, the tool was created on 7 April to respond to all these needs: Specifically, the GuNETuz website. In the light of the above, it should be noted that the date of submission is not random or the name of the website. On the one hand, April 7 is named World Health Day. Often, when we talk about health, we focus solely on the physical aspect. However, it should be borne in mind that health is not only a physical well-being, but also a mental and social well-being. Therefore, GuNETuz has been presented at the Koldo Mitxelena Kulturgunea de Donostia-San Sebastián to reclaim the integrity of the nature of health. On the other hand, as far as the name of the website is concerned, we wanted to give it a name that would show its existence. In fact, GuNETuz is the only site in its field that has a network of Basque psychologists (-NET).
"The GuNETuz website will bring the creation of a virtual community of Basque psychologists in the different fields of psychology"
In addition, the contribution will not only be for Euskaldunes psychologists, but will also be a very important contribution to Basque society in general. In fact, it is a meeting point for professionals, students and users who work in the field of psychology or in other related disciplines. It will be in Euskera and Euskaldun, as it will be in Euskera and there we will participate the Euskaldunes. In addition, it offers resources for the correct use of the Basque Country. On the other hand, the dissemination of knowledge related to the different fields that make up psychology through the web, makes it a good tool for dissemination. In this sense, publications, news, interventions, theories, etc. will be shared. in Basque related to different areas of psychology, so it will also be innovative. It will also be a reference support for psychologists, experts and Euskaldunes who have not had so far. Therefore, it cannot be denied that it will be a participant, because being a proposal directed to the mentioned community, its involvement will be sought. However, it will be informal and, at the same time, formal and also dynamic. In fact, it will have participation channels, both informal and formal, and it will allow to adapt to the needs of the users, keeping the space alive. But it will also be quiet, intuitive and easy to use to reach psychologists of different profiles. In short, it will be carried out on the basis of collaboration, in order to promote collaboration between universities, research groups, institutions and/or agents. In this way, it will become an impeller of the formation, as it will create channels of formation among Basque psychologists, will have a space of communication to promote self-training and share knowledge. Finally, it will be egalitarian, as one of the pillars of GuNETuze is to promote gender equality.
In short, the web will enable the creation of a virtual community of Basque psychologists from different areas of psychology anywhere in the world. If you also want to participate in this achievement by participating in the GuNETuz project, visit the website gunetuz.ueu.eus. Joining us psychologists, weaving our mind, GuNETuz is our site.
We hope for you because you can also be an author!
