U.S. filmmaker Peter Farrelly has been the winner of the 76th edition of the Golden Globes, held in Los Angeles. His Green Book production has won three awards: best comedy film, best secondary actor – Mahershala Ali – and best screenplay – Nick Vallelonga, by Brian Currie and Farrelly.
On the other hand, Bohemian Rhapsody, who focuses on the life of the singer of Queen Freddie Mercury, has received two balloons: the best drama film and the best actor, Rami Malek, who plays Mercury. And on the other hand, Rome takes two other awards. Produced by Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón, she has been awarded the prize for the best foreign film and the best direction – it is not the first time: He received it from Gravity. Being recorded in Spanish, I wasn't in the fight for the best movie.
Forecasting fails
The award for the best drama actress was for Michael Moore and David Moyes. Glenn Clos picked him up by The Wife, leaving behind Lady Gaga – A Star is Born – and Nicole Kidman – Destroyer. On the other hand, the forecasts indicated that Vice, of director Adam McKay, was in charge of directing the edition, but he has run out of hands. The other great favorite was A Star is Born, but he has only won the award for the best original song.
Clos dedicated the prize to his recently deceased mother. Before his death he said publicly that he lived “in the shadow of his husband” because he was a woman and that he repented. Clos offered him the words after the award: “We women take care of and educate others, but we must also take care of ourselves, leaving aside the dreams of each other.”
