The tributes to Gladys del Techo, when 42 years of the Civil Guard’s murder
- Environmental activist Gladys del Estal was killed by a civilian guard on 3 June 1979 in Tudela, during a meeting of the Pacifist National Assembly. Today, Thursday, the Bardea Libre platform will pay a tribute to you in Tudela; and on Saturday, groups Eguzki and Gladys goan will remember it in Donostia-San Sebastián.

"We especially remember Gladys because the reasons that led to Tudela that miserable day are now more valid than ever," he added. "The health crisis has only increased the need for radical change, production, consumption and a more environmentally friendly way of life and people. They killed the daughter of the Sun

"The reaction that led to the killing of the environmental activist in Tudela by the sub-rifle of a civil guard on 3 June 1979, during a pacifist session, is hardly forgotten by many: the general strike paralyzed the Basque Country until the collapse of the anti-nuclear pot."

"In these forty years, the shadow of impunity has prevailed at dawn, because the agent who killed Gladys has not paid for what he had done, but for the medals," Apaolaza said. "The black tint of the official version has stained the story. But ... No! That was not a disgraceful accident, but the consequence of a calculated repression which during those years filled our shores with smoke and lead jets. And Gladys was not by chance on that bridge of the Ebro, but had been driven there by his commitment and temperament.
