Asiron has been pleased with the work carried out over the past four years: "The assessment of the legislature is very good. We have reduced debt and increased social spending by 40%. In participation, we have taken great steps in the Basque sphere. We are pioneers in equality and memory in the state."
Shadows, at the end of the quadripartite
In his opinion, the lights have been the protagonists in the past four years, but he also sees shadows: "For me, the worst thing about this legislature is not being able to take the quadripartite until the end of the legislature," he added. It has also highlighted the consensus achieved over three years: "The four forces are very different, and it's not easy to get into a government. At the May 2017 press conference in Egino and Cuenca, I saw an electioneering nervousness."
It is clear to Asiron that if the change is to continue, it will be with the agreement of the four forces: "We all have to learn from the mistakes that have been made to continue with change. In the forthcoming elections, the socio-political framework of EI and Aranzadi will be very important for change."
Discrepancies in the pace of change have often been mentioned among the four forces. Asiron says speed is not important: "I believe more in profound change than in rapid change. Real change is irreversible. And this happens when things are properly planned and developed."
Opposition, "drifting"
In any event, on behalf of Asiron, the change will be re-imposed in the May elections: "I am convinced that the people who four years ago committed to change will do it again. Institutional change has been the result of profound sociological change".
It also sees the opposition to drift. The PSN, over and over with UPN. And a coalition driven by UPN, full of contradictions: "Those who have joined in Navarra Suma do not have a common political project. The desire to regain power is the only thing that unites them."
The mayor of the leading Basque city, Iñigo Urkullu, has also referred to more specific issues. In comparison, Marvels about the Young: "In the Old Town you need a space for the young, Oscus or other, but with all the guarantees. The young people told us they had to do an internal process, and they're going to work on it."
He also referred to the Memorial to the Fallen and gave a personal opinion on his future: "It does not need to be tapered to change the meaning of the monument. The key is not to throw it away, but the answer we give to this important area of the city."
Asiron has no doubt that it will be done with the Labrit catwalk: "I have three dossiers on the table and they all clearly indicate that they need to be removed as soon as possible. Everything else is literature.
On the other hand, it has undermined the painters that have appeared this morning in the headquarters of several parties: "I despise the painted ones, I don't care what they are against whom. But you only need one baseless person and one spray to do it. You don't have to give it much importance.
