Today, 20 February 2003, the Civil Guard forcibly closed the daily Euskaldunon Egunkaria
- The only national newspaper published in Euskera was sealed by order of the judge of the National Audience Juan del olmo.
During the operation, in which ten people were arrested, they remained incommunicado for five days and several more were injured. During those days, they were tortured. The following day, the workers managed to leave 'on a daily basis', and two days later, the most massive demonstration held in Donostia-San Sebastian against the closure. In 2010, the verdict came, and in 2014, the economic case was closed. No one apologized.
