The collective bulk of Euskal Herria Ezin Kabitu has revealed what happened, as an example of the institutional violence suffered every day by blacks. On Friday, December 15, the members of the podcast Nobody Will Talk about Us went to the Aldabe Theatre of Vitoria to make their show. There they realized that the banks of the public theatres of Vitoria are not accessible to everyone, as the thick bodies do not fit.

"We are sick of gross attacks," they say, adding that attacks go beyond insults. For this reason, they marked with stickers the fat seats of the theater and hampered the entrance as a protest.

"The thick society is also reflected in the city, in architecture and in infrastructure, it is physical, it is material. The problem is systematic and structural. The city is built for a concrete body. Bodies are multiple, and obese people are. The possibilities offered by the City of Vitoria-Gasteiz must be accessible to all bodies and people."

Although the feminist school of Empowerment in Vitoria-Gasteiz has included the fight against obesity in its agenda, they say that not fit into the spectacle dealing with the fight against obesity is “totally paradoxical”. They consider that accessibility is not a priority for violence.

The group has asked to rethink spaces and structures (theatres, chairs, toilets, transports…) and make material changes in all spaces of Vitoria-Gasteiz and Euskal Herria.
