Garai and Etxegarai-Oses are proclaimed champions of the Emakume Master Cup
- Leire Garai and Leire Etxaniz have won the first category txapela of the Championship of Couples (22-5) with total superiority. In the promotion category, the match formed by Uxue Oses and Madalen Etxegarai has won (18-15) after going back to the second part of the match.
The fronton Beloki of Zumarraga (Gipuzkoa) has been left without tickets for the Emakume Master Cup finals that have been played this Sunday at noon. First division and promotion txapelas have been disputed, and the festive atmosphere that has been experienced in the fronton of Urretxu has had no respite.
Due to the large influx of people who have gathered in the vicinity of the fronton, fans have had to open the movie theater in order to see the big screen finals.
Imbalance at elite level
At the end of Primera only one partner has given its usual level. Leire Garai and the champion of the two previous editions Leire Etxaniz have demonstrated their strength as a partner from start to finish. The blues have played a serious game, without losing any kind of ball in attack and with a defense that has not disappointed. Throughout the game they have had a great advantage in the scoreboard in their favour.
Patri Espinar and Miriam Arrillaga have been able to do little. At first, Arrillaga has managed to keep the match in the back boxes, but in the game and in the scoreboard the blues have been higher. The brave actions of Espinar have not yielded a well-deserved result either, as the fact of doing so was very expensive for the reds.
With a difference of 22-5, Garai and Etxaniz have led the triumph with total merit.
Thrill at the Final Promotion
Oñatiarras Uxue Oses and Madalen Etxegarai have founded the txapela of the promotion category after having a match with many ups and downs and many surprises. The young pelotaris, only thirteen years old, have noticed in their many initials the nervousness that provokes an end in the fronton Labrit of Pamplona.
Hernaniarra María Granado and Aduna Ainhoa Lakuntza have gotten better in the game. With the ball very lost, the players have taken advantage of the doubts to move forward 8-2 in the scoreboard. Granado and Lakuntza have also enjoyed a difference of 12-7 in the end to 18 as many, but Oses and Etxegarai have not surrendered.
Apart from the nerves and the thrust received by the stands, the reaction of the red springs has arrived. Oses has started to prevail in the back boxes and Etxegarai has regained confidence thanks to a good saque of a couple of bowls. A large second part of the match has turned the scoreboard around and won, to extasify the nearly 100 fans who have arrived from Oñati.

The level and spectacle that women sportsmen can give has been another of the passes experienced on Sunday at the fronton Beloki in Zumarraga for all fans. In recent times such demonstrations have been carried out in many sports and in many of our hands it has not been possible to do less. They are the result of intense silent work that has been carried out for many years and it is a sign that the rise of women’s sport does not cease.
