Sometimes I don't know if it's too much. That we're eating a pipe, that we're talking about anything else, that we're bringing it up. We like to speak aloud, to leave almost no pause, to cover the voices, to throw a bigger one. Talk about each one of them, each one of them, what we have seen on the networks, what they have said in that TV show, the new store they have opened in the square and the bar they have closed.
And other times we are able to remain silent. To bring up the subject (to bring up a subject), seven pairs of eyes looking at you, with their mouths suddenly closed, no one has anything to say now. Someone has thrown it out (to be thrown out), someone has taken out this problem that is bigger in addition to our own and individual problems. Even calling it a “problem” tempers the whole thing, but well. Do you always have to remind me that there's someone in the world who's worse than me? (which might be a question for me as well.) One enters the bar to ask for another round in an attempt to break that silence.
I'd like to dissect it, throw arguments and maybe change my mind, but at least dissect it.
It's kind of lazy to talk about tough things, I know. Talking about things to do is the same for two. Not to mention the idea that the future is possible, because if the future is possible it is necessary to work for it. It’s lazy to admit that theoretically you don’t do anything to get close to what you’re on your side, that you can’t even give them two seconds in your head. When did we stop fighting so fiercely against those with fascist opinions in class? Today we can talk about the salt point of the tortilla pintxo, better this way.
Can you hate the police too much? Can you be friends with a policeman? Should we go back to McDonald's for dinner? Do we have to bring the glasses back to the bar? Is it okay to steal Eroskin? Is it too much to ask for a demonstration? Should I send that news from the wachape team? Isn’t that what happened in our neighborhood? Can contradictions be portrayed as white? Can you fix the world around a table?
I don’t want to be a dictator between right and wrong. I don't think I know more than anyone, I know very little. I don’t do everything I could, not even half of it (and it’s not to be happy). But if getting the subject out is the minimum, I'll fill that minimum. I wish I could disagree, throw arguments and maybe change my mind, but at least disagree. I would like to see in each other’s eyes as much responsibility for what surrounds us as we care about each other’s exams during the day and birthdays. I don't know, maybe that's how we'll slowly plant a seed in each other's heads, because the world needs change.
