New Popular Front wins in Iparralde
- In Ipar Euskal Herria, the alliance of left-wing forces that have united to stop the extreme right has been the most voted. The left-wing alliance has won 11,000 votes in favour of the second alliance, the Federal National Union (RN). The Ensemble of Macron has been the third most voted force in the country’s history. The New Popular Front has been the first force in the three constituencies in which it voted. In the French State, on the other hand, what has been planned has taken place and the extreme right has been the great winner, with 34% of the votes.
The New Popular Front was made with 31.98% of the votes of Ipar Euskal Herria (55,206 votes). The extreme right, the National Union (RN), has added 25.61% (44.214) and the Ensemble of Macron 22.28% (38.470).
The New Popular Front has been imposed in all three constituencies. Fourth, Iñaki Etxaniz remained with 38.01% of the votes, fifth Colette Capdevielle with 32.30% and sixth Peio Dufau with 29.43%.
The extreme right has been the second force in two of the three districts, in the fourth and fifth districts. In the sixth, for its part, it has remained third behind the Macron party.

In the knowledge of the results, he stressed on social networks that in Iparralde and in the three constituencies the New Popular Front was the first force, and he showed his concern about the advancement of the extreme right: "It is time to defend the agreements and fundamental values of this territory," he added. Looking at the second lap
In the three constituencies there could be a duel between the three candidates in the second round of the elections. In particular, the candidates who have placed in third place – Lassalle in fourth, Lasser in fifth and Lastecoueres in sixth – have announced their intention to remain in the fight.
