On 4 May, supermarkets in Ipar Euskal Herria and the French State in general will be able to start selling masks. They're ready, they've got millions of masks for the past morning, and they're going to buy millions more in the next few days, finding little nuisance along the way. This has increased the indignation of health professionals: -We told our patients that they could not be properly protected. How are you going to understand that what did not exist today is audacious? 100 million here, 50 million there... How many more? We are a higher offer of lust" can be read in the letter Masks signed by the presidents of the seven health orders: doctors, pharmacies, midwives, nurses, dentists, massage therapists, pedikura-podonologists.
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, health workers continue to insist on the scarcity of masks. The shortage of these protection materials is also recognized by the French Government. As the supermarket managers have pointed out, they did not have any mask reserves at the moment. In any case, as the producers could not respond to the orders that the institutions had given them, they increased their orders without any shame, in order to be able to sell them as soon as they had authorisation.
French Senator Nathalie Delattre, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Laws, has opened a survey of the millions of face masks that will be sold on 4 May. The coalition has called for the opening of a commission of inquiry to analyse the situation of prisoners. "There are two hypotheses: either supermarkets are much more efficient than the state, or they had reservations," Delattre explained in an interview at ETB.
