It wasn't an easy exercise. The issue of participation is very delicate and diffuse, more so if it adapts to the business world. But the people who met in Iturola de Hernani on February 13 managed to bring their contributions to the field of the concrete and highlight the needs or strengths that each saw in their area.
On the second day of the Beterri Saretuz programme, representatives of companies and institutions of the region of Beterri-Buruntza, reflected on some keys. Many approached Hernani with curiosity, wanting to shed more light on his doubts and concerns about participation in his house, but the organizers also put the two to work, and the result was much more enriching.
Training, finance, transformative values, putting people at the center, empowerment… All these topics were detailed along the lines to analyze how to promote the participation of workers in the ownership of companies, in management, in profits and even in the territory itself.
Surely this line along the last one gives the Beterri Saretuz program singularity, which is born of a network of transformative companies in the region, so the desire to influence a more livable environment also serves to motivate and participate.
The workshop was organized in a workshop format and several sessions were held in groups, both by keys and by sectors. The attendees first analyzed the definition of each key, its importance and concrete action measures, and in many cases they served to understand that convictions, but also the most basic issues, generate the desire to participate in a project, often covered by daily work and speed.
For example, they concluded how important it is to “celebrate” and “recognize” the well-done work – although we are not culturally accustomed to it – to make sense of what we do, overcome the cracks, stop and become aware of what we have done…
In addition, work was also done on defining what each sector can help, whether it be business, entrepreneur, educational center or administration, and what it should ask of others.
It is about creating a “guide” with the contributions received so far, as a working tool for the future enterprise-based ecosystem based on participation. Specifically, they took advantage of Iturola’s session to make an approach to the different formats that this “guide” can have.
