A woman has been expelled from her house by the Ertzaintza in Hernani and in the court she has repeatedly opposed those who have joined the protest called by the Socialist Buruntzaldea Council.

As the locksmith refuses to open the door, the Ertzaintza has shattered it hard and brought the family out.

According to the note by the Socialist Buruntzaldea Council of 11 May, "this is not the first time they have tried to evict the family". The attempt on 7 June is final.

The Socialist Council denounces the "complicit attitude of the Hernani City Hall", denouncing the refusal of registration and support for the family member. By the way, they underline the ineffectiveness of housing law.

Hernani City Hall: "Do not try to take political advantage of vulnerable people"

Sources from Hernani City Hall have told ARGIA that the case is "complex". According to the note that the city council has subsequently made to the media, the person who has been dismissed "has given up working the route (municipal)". However, the City Hall says that today, once evicted, "this person is willing to work with the social services" and that "has an associated appointment" for the following day.

In the last paragraph, by the way, it stresses the need to defend "justice and legality", while "not trying to make political profit for people in vulnerable situations".

Socialist Council: "We require the City Hall to approve the social census"

The Socialist Council and the Housing Union, for their part, "refute" by note what the City Council said in that note. Among others, note that the Hernani City Hall suggested access to a mixed hostel to the person who was going to be fired from his house, but did not consider the casuistic: "The City Hall is aware that the eviction suffered a violation in a hostel of this kind, which overrides this possibility."

By the way, both groups have emphasized that the Hernani City Hall's own note is "an exercise of self-justification". In addition, they ask the administration for "political responsibility" and request "approval of the social census" to find an alternative to the case.
