Ezcaba's fort was constituted yesterday as a working group to declare space of memory, according to the Democratic Memory Act. The Law stipulates that within one year, after the adoption of the Law on 23 October, the Government of Spain must agree a cooperation agreement with the Government of Navarra and local entities to determine the financing and actions necessary to recover and disseminate the democratic memory in the fort, in accordance with the provisions of the foral laws.
The Minister of Citizen Relations, Ana Ollo, presides over the working group constituted yesterday, Fernando Martínez, secretary-general of the Democratic Report of the Government of Spain.
