EHE moves on 7 December in Durango north of the “Republic of the Basque Country”
The demonstration, which will depart from Landako Gunea, has been held under the motto Euskararen Errebreak, with the objective of living in Euskera. In the streets of Durango they have called to proclaim the Basque Republic, to join forces and to spread the cry for the Basque Country to the four winds. The two EHE members detained for painting at the Baiona Court will be tried in April of this year.
In addition, Euskal Herrian Euskaraz has underlined the need to become aware of the situation and to strengthen the struggle for the Basque Country. To the extent that there is no possibility of living in Basque in its entirety, it has called to continue fighting and to awaken the "pride" of the Basques.
The Euskaltzale movement has stressed that the issue of the Basque Country, beyond individual responsibility, is the result of structural problems. As he explained, the outburst must be understood "in the principles established by the system and in the context of the rise of reactionary tendencies".
The Basque agent has appealed, on the one hand, to the Basque parties to “assume their responsibility and take it back and forth”, and, on the other hand, to all those who “struggle to change the world”, to join the “new wave of Euskaldunization”.
Trial in April
Two EHE members will be tried in April for the claim they made in Baiona on Basque Day. The justice was written in ink on December 3 at the doors of the Baiona court by two members of the Basque Country Herrian Euskaraz. Both were arrested for six hours after committing the action, and have been called to trial by 11 April, according to the same sources.
On Basque Day, they denounced that “there is no justice for the Basque and for the Basques”. In addition to the arrest of two members of the organization, other members of the organization in the area were also identified, according to the agent.
