The students of the Euskaltegis of HABE of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa who attend Euskera to level B2 will be able to do so free of charge, following the agreement reached between the Basque Government, the three deputies and Eudel. Thus, in the case of levels A1, A2 and B1, all students who prove a level through the Euskaltegis will be eligible for this aid, provided that they meet the care requirements. In the case of Level B2 students, they will have to pass the HABE exam in order to be able to access the aid. However, from September onwards, for all levels, including those of B2, it will be sufficient to exceed the level of the Euskaltegi.

The Director of the Basque Country and the Open Government of the Council of Álava, Lexuri Ugarte, stressed the importance of the agreement: "Great in the smallness, Álava wants to take another step. We want to show that Euskera needed cooperation, commitment and collaboration and that we are able to contribute. Time and time again we have called for the need to promote the use of Euskera, but to promote its use we have to know it, and today, there are still many who have not."

Ugarte explained that according to this year's data, 5,000 people in Álava had registered in the country's fifteen Euskaltegis. "This year we will offer EUR 185,000 as a contribution of knowledge, and step by step, despite the difficulties, we will get the Basque knowledge, use and speed up."

As regards the time limit for receiving aid, persons exceeding levels A1, A2, B1 or B2 between January and September 2020 will receive the aid in December. Depending on the total amount of the course, the amount paid by the student will be returned to exceed that level, always within the costs of the learning process.
