Most readers are probably in favour of the first option, but they are doing so in vain: in the absence of a state, the law is against. Proof of this is the Catalan language protocol, which was suspended by the Spanish courts, or the decision of the Superior Court of Justice of Navarra. However, we can become indispensable, with daily work, if we talk about the medical history.
We know that our working language is Spanish. Some doctors have begun to write the medical history in Euskera, and to address this threat, Osakidetza has prioritized translation to avoid possible problems. From Euskera to Spanish, and not the other way around. Perhaps they have not taken into account the contribution that the health sector can make in the normalization of the Basque country, nor what to say about the needs of patients.
The area of Health has a peculiarity that does not exist in other administrative areas, and that can make Basque an absolutely essential language. What is more, it can help make the Basque language a working language. It is, of course, about verbal relations with patients, but also, and above all, about the clinical documentation and its characteristics. The computerized and unified clinical history is unique, not modifiable for the protection of patients, that is, once written in Euskera, it will remain when it is. Therefore, the writing of the clinical history in Euskera obliges all health personnel involved in the care process to understand Euskera, in order to ensure patient safety. Other situations do not occur, and linguistic profiles do not guarantee their use.
It is not a radical proposal, but an adapted and gradual one. Created for a working framework dominated by monolingual Castilian speaking workers. But it can have a promising future: if you work with documentation in Basque, the number and average of Basque speaking workers is increasing, the Basque Country becomes essential.
To this end, the Basque itineraries were proposed. Through these, it is possible to progressively guarantee the service in Euskera, with specialized care from primary care, in oral and written relations. It is not a radical proposal, but an adapted and gradual one. Created for a working framework dominated by monolingual Castilian speaking workers. But it can have a promising future: if you work with documentation in Euskera, the number and average of Euskaldunes workers is increasing, the Basque Country becomes indispensable. Preferably indispensable, because it is necessary for work and not obligatory, because this is established by law.
However, the Directorate does not want the Basque Country to become indispensable for the citizens. That is why he wants to put in Spanish the little we write in Basque, through Itzulbide. At the crossroads, he has chosen the wrong path: attractive, inclusive, progressive and opulent, rather than an unavoidable need. Those who say that the process of normalization of the Basque country must be done slowly and carefully, have suddenly and urgently decided on a shortcut that goes nowhere. Basque optional for workers, not mandatory or indispensable; random for users, according to the doctor.
In Health, circuits allow us to make Euskera indispensable, without forcing anyone, without imposing, with effort. On the contrary, the automatic translator interrupts that path and leads to conflict. On the one hand, the Castilian speaking speakers, because linguistic profiles are an imposition for them. On the other hand, the Basques, as Euskera is not mandatory as a quality care

Many times, after looking at the brumas from my house, it has occurred to me not to catch umbrellas, even though I know I will just soak up. Why will it be? Maybe you don't want to catch the umbrella? Maybe in the hope that I don't get wet? Nevertheless, the conclusion has always... [+]
I remember when I was 16 years old, the Ertzaintza first identified me in a concentration in favor of the Basque Country before the Bergara courts. We believed that in Euskal Herria it was legitimate to cry for the Euskaldunization of the courts, but then there would also be a... [+]

November 19 is World Bathing Day. Even today, in the twenty-first century, many workers here in the Basque Country do not have the right to use the toilet in their working days. Many transport workers are an example of this.

“You learn walking and singing.” This has been one of the subjects this week in the groups of C2. It wasn't about learning to sing or walking, it was about using the future correctly. The activity has given me what to think and I've wondered how we learn to teach. I've heard... [+]
