To this end, they consider it essential to provide a solution to the situation of Basque prisoners who are thousands of kilometres away and who suffer human rights violations. "If the current prison policy is not changed, in addition to the violation of human rights, the family members of prisoners, especially children and the elderly, continue to suffer and are forced to travel thousands of kilometres every weekend or to live on alert with seriously ill relatives who are so far away," he said.
In this regard, they have complained about what has been said in recent months about the change in prison policy. In fact, they are still not clear about "what the roadmap they are proposing" and have stressed that "not only are words necessary" for "real change" to occur, but also "actions".
