In Bilbao, in Pamplona, in Donostia-San Sebastián and in Vitoria-Gasteiz there will be demonstrations both in the morning and in the afternoon. The morning mobilization in Bilbao will be at 11:30 hours in the City Hall, and the afternoon concentration will be at 19:30 in Plaza Moyua.
Mitxel Lakuntza (ELA) and Garbiñe Aranburu (LAB) have appeared with other actors in Donostia-San Sebastián to explain the concrete measures to be taken on 19 June in seven areas:
Firstly, they have proposed measures to develop public services, such as the immediate publication of surveillance tasks, public health services or ambulance services, with the aim of equating working conditions in these areas with those of public employees.
Likewise, with the aim of changing care models, the administrations have proposed creating 10,000 jobs to ensure a quality, public, universal and free care system that guarantees the care of life to death. On the other hand, in line with the demands of the pensioners’ movement, a minimum income of EUR 1080 is required for retired persons and a minimum wage of EUR 1200 and a maximum working day of 35 hours for all staff.
Finally, they have called for the new taxation to be stabilised and for all those working in an irregular administrative situation and in a black economy to be regulated.
In defence of these measures and proposals, the four capitals of Hego Euskal Herria have convened a concentration on 19 June to demand the sharing of wealth to preserve the public and the essential.
